This is Bogey after one month of "belonging" to a real family. Hard to believe he is the same dog on the first page, huh?
His coat is getting whiter thanks to a weekly bath - which he "tolerates" much better than the first time. He is relaxed and comfortable here knowing that he is loved and will always be cared for. He is beginning to actually wag his tail! The introduction of toys was a new experience for both of us....I had never been around a dog that had never seen a toy! He now has his favorites...and his favorite time to "play" and to "zoom". He is learning how to do both. Someday he will learn how to pass through a doorway at record speed and not slam into it!
I know all three of my dogs...REALLY, REALLY love me..but there is something very special about Bogey. His love is a very special, unique one. All 3 of them were "unwanted" so in their eyes I "saved" them - but with Bogey he endured captivity for almost 7 years before I came along...before "life as a dog" came along...and before he was "allowed" to be what God intended him to be.....
Happy, healthy, warm, fed, loved.....and FREE.
